Many tech NAICS codes are exempt from routine OSHA 300 logs, but severe injury reporting is universal.

Who can work on data center electrical equipment?

Only qualified persons — workers trained to recognize and avoid the specific electrical hazards involved — may work on or near exposed energized parts under 29 CFR 1910 Subpart S. De-energization and lockout/tagout is the default; energized work needs justification and appropriate PPE.

Are remote employees' injuries OSHA recordable?

A home-work injury is recordable only if it's work-related — occurring while performing work for pay and directly related to the work rather than the home environment. OSHA does not inspect home offices and doesn't hold employers liable for home office conditions.

Is an ergonomics program legally required for office workers?
